Patriot Rifle Conference Championships, Day 1 Results

U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. - Air Force, ranked 6th in the CRCA poll, headed to Fort Worth for the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships, Feb. 6-7. On Saturday, Air Force, #4 TCU, #5 Alaska, #13 Nevada, #7 Ohio State, and #17 UTEP met for the smallbore portion of the championships.

In smallbore, the Falcons finished with 2315 points, TCU concluded with 2326 points, while Alaska scored 2324 points. Ohio State finished with 2317 points, and Nevada finished with 2288, UTEP finished the day with 2275 points.

Individual results: Senior David Higgins was the Falcons' top performer with a 581. Freshmen Spencer Cap and Anna Weilbacher both had totals of 579 each. Senior Tyler Rico finished with a total of 576 points. The four-man squad finished with an official total of 2315. Junior Ryan Jacobs also shot smallbore and finished with 573 points.

On Sunday, the championships will conclude with the air rifle. The first of three relays will get underway at 7:45 a.m. with the final coming at 1:15.
