Zillweger qualifies for NCAA Diving Championships

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force senior Nathanael Zillweger qualified for the NCAA Division I Diving Championships in both the platform and 3-meter springboard and will compete in the national tournament, March 24-26, in Atlanta, Ga.
Zillweger placed fourth on the platform with 342.75 points and was 12th on the 3-meter springboard with 703.70 points at the NCAA Zone E Championships, March 7-9, in Flagstaff, Ariz.
Zillweger won both the 1-meter and 3-meter, and was second on the platform, at the Western Athletic Conference Championships as he helped lead the Falcons' to their first ever conference championship, Feb. 24-27. Zillweger earned the WAC Diver of the Year award for the second straight season.
In addition to Zillweger, senior Michael Barnosky qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 100 breast stroke, posting an "A" time as he won the WAC title. Barnosky will also swim the 200 IM and the 200 breast stroke at the NCAA Championships.
