Falcons host Penn, play Stetson, Army in Orlando

This week: Air Force hosts Penn on Tuesday, March 8, at 5 p.m. The Falcons then travel to Orlando, Fla., where they will play Stetson on Saturday, March 12, at 2 p.m. and Army West Point on Sunday, March 13, at 10 a.m.
Last week: The Falcons dropped a pair of matches to Mountain West foe New Mexico. The Falcons lost a non-conference tilt, 4-3, before falling 4-1 in the second match which counted as the conference opener for each school.
New Mexico - The Falcons lost to the Lobos, 4-3, in a non-conference match in the morning before falling 4-1 in the evening match which was designated as the conference opener for each school.
The Falcons won the doubles point in each match. Jack McCullers and Max Olson defeated Ricky Hernandez-Tong and Jorge Escutia, 7-6 (12-10) at No. 2 doubles in the first match. Andrew Parks and Isaac Perez beat Agustus Ge and Michael Tran, 6-3, at No. 3 doubles in the morning match. Perez won his first-career Mountain West singles match, beating Sean Baklini, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) at No. 4. Olson picked up the only other singles win, beating Tran, 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 at No. 5.
McCullers and Olson defeated 39th-ranked Hayden Sabatka and Rodolfo Jauregui, 6-4, at No. 1 doubles in the evening match. Tadhg Collins and Lucas Fumagalli beat Hernandez-Tong and Escutia, 6-4, at No. 2 doubles to secure the point. The Lobos swept the first four singles matches to secure the win.

Head Coach Dan Oosterhous: Dan Oosterhous is in his seventh season as the men's tennis coach at the Air Force Academy after being named the program's 12th head coach October 1, 2009. Oosterhous, a 1993 graduate of the Academy, replaced legendary head coach Rich Gugat, who retired after 36 years at the helm of the men's tennis program.
Oosterhous, one of the best tennis players in program history, has a 68-85 career record. A native of Texarkana, Texas, Oosterhous is a 1993 graduate of the Air Force Academy. He is a senior pilot with over 3,100 hours in the C-5, C-21, T-38, and T-37. He has three children, Emma (18), Anna (16) and Andrew (14).
