Blake Lawrie named Academic All-WAC

DENVER, Colo - Air Force rising sophomore Blake Lawrie has been named to the Western Athletic Conference all-academic team, as announced today by the league office. Today's announcement honored 316 freshmen and transfers in all WAC sports.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.

Lawrie, a freshman from Colorado Springs' Discovery Canyon High School, swam the 50, 100 and 200 free on the Air Force men's swimming team that went on to win the 2016 WAC title.
