Falcon Wrestling Concludes Action at the Southern Scuffle

Chattanooga, Tenn. - Air Force concluded action with a decision loss in the consolation round of eight at the 2017 Southern Scuffle, Jan. 2, in McKenzie Arena. Senior Dylan Hyder was the only Falcon to battle into the second day of tournament action.
Hyder met with Missouri's John Erneste where he dropped an 8-2 decision to the Tiger wrestler. The Yelm, Wash., native rallied for a pair of escape points but was unable to penetrate Erneste's defense for takedown points.
Air Force returns to dual action, Sat., Jan. 7, in Gunnison, Colo., for the annual Tracy Borah Duals. The Falcons will square off against Western State, Cal Baptist, Colorado Mesa and Simon Fraser at the event. The first meet is slated to begin at 10:00 a.m. MT, in Mountaineer Field House.
