
Miller earns honorable mention All-America honors

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Air Force senior Genevieve Miller earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 500 free at the 2017 NCAA Swimming Championships, Thursday, March 16, in Indianapolis. Miller earned honorable mention honors in 500 free for the second straight year.
In the prelims, Miller swam a 4:39.97 and tied with Texas swimming Lauren Case for 16th place. The two had a full 500 yard swim-off and Miller won that to advance to the consolation finals. In the swim off, Miller had a .01 lead heading into the final 50, but pulled away for the win. In the swim off, Miller posted a 4:39.82 while Case swam a 4:40.06.

In the consolation finals, Miller swam a 4:41.42 to finish in 16th place.
The senior from Winston-Salem, N.C., will swim the 200 free and the 1650 free on Saturday, March 18, in Indianapolis, Ind.
