
Swimmers honored for work in the classroom

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Three individuals from the Air Force swimming teams, and the entire women's team, were honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
The women's team was selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team for the second straight year. To earn this distinction, programs must have achieved a team grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the spring semester.
Three Academy swimmers were also honored by the CSCAA.
Genevieve Miller, graduated this past May, earned first team CSCAA Scholar All-America honors for the second time in her career. A four-time All-American and eight-time Mountain West Champion, Miller also earned the Academy's most valuable female athlete for 2016-17.
From the men's team, Jordan Dahle (graduated this past May) and rising sophomore Zach Nelson both earned honorable mention CSCAA Scholar All-America honors. Dahle is a Western Athletic Conference champion and was earned the Academy's Athletic Excellence award for 2016-17.
To be selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable Mention selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at their respective qualifying meets
