
Men's Swimming & Diving Announces 2017-18 Schedule

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force men's swimming and diving team announced its 2017-18 schedule, according to head coaches Rob Clayton and Stan Curnow.
FULL SCHEDULE
The Falcons, fresh off back-to-back WAC Championships, will open the season with the Horsetooth Open Water on Sunday, Sept 10th. The annual Blue/Silver scrimmage occurs on Friday, Sept. 22 for the swimmers while the divers host their scrimmage on Saturday, Oct. 1. Same as the Falcon women's team, the men will head to the Intermountain Shootout and face BYU and Colorado Mesa to open the season on Friday, Oct. 6. Two weeks later, the Falcons will head to Denver on Friday, Oct 20. Air Force then welcomes in Colorado Mesa and Colorado School of Mines on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. for the first regular season home meet. On the road, the Falcons will swim WAC foes Wyoming (Oct 28) and Grand Canyon (Nov. 3 & 4) before finishing the Fall season at the Texas A&M Art Adamson Invitational the weekend before Thanksgiving.
During winter break, the swimmers will head to California for training and a meet vs Cal-Poly on Dec. 22. The Falcons return to campus to host Seattle and Incarnate Word on Friday, Jan. 12 and Saturday, Jan. 13. A meet versus WAC rival UNLV in Las Vegas and the Colorado Sprint Championships at Denver on Jan. 27 finish off the dual meet season. AFA divers will host their Invitational on Friday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 3. All home meets are at Cadet Natatorium and are free admission.
Air Force will look for its third straight Conference Championship as the team heads to Houston, Texas for the WAC Championships from Wednesday, Feb. 21 through Saturday, Feb. 24.
