Falcons Complete Day One at ITA Mountain Regional

Air Force men's tennis completed day one action at the ITA Mountain Regional hosted by UNLV, on Monday, Oct. 15, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Falcons picked up three wins in the opening day of play.

Air Force went 2-0 in doubles play to advance to the qualifier semifinals. The duo of senior Luke Sanderson and sophomore Patrick Sklenka opened with a win over Couthino/Scarpelli of IU 8-6. Sanderson and Sklenka then defeated Simececk and Flores of New Mexico State 8-3 to make it to the semifinals Tuesday.

In the singles qualifier, Sanderson won his first match before falling in the second round. Sanderson defeated Jonathan Aremon of Nevada 6-1, 6-4. He was eliminated with by Micheal Tran of New Mexico 6-7 (6), 6-3, 6-2.

Day two action is Tuesday.
