Falcons Complete Day One at Dar Walters Invite

Air Force men's tennis completed day one action at the Dar Walters Fall Classic Invite, hosted by Boise State, on Friday, Oct. 4, in Boise, Idaho. The Falcons racked up three wins in the first day of competition.

Junior Mack Galvin and freshmen Jordan Azuma and James Scotty earned wins for the Falcons.

The Falcons opened the day with a pair of doubles setbacks by the due of Galvin and Matt Ghering and the duo of Azuma and Scotty, both to Boise State.

In the Dar Walters Singles Main Draw, Galvin won his opening match over Colton Weeldreyer of Seattle U, 6-3, 6-4. Galvin dropped his round of 16 match to Matteo Fortini of Portland State, 6-2, 6-3.

In the Blue Singles main draw, Azuma and Ghering dropped their opening contests. Azuma rallied to win his back draw opener over Sam Roberts of Portland State 7-5, 6-1. Ghering dropped his second match.

In the Orange singles main draw, Scotty defeated Jack Freer of Whitman 6-3, 6-0.

Day two action of three day invite is Saturday.
