
Air Force Currently In 15th At NCAA Fencing Championship

Air Force fencing sits in 15th place after day one action Thursday at the 2018 National Collegiate Men's and Women's Fencing Championships, held at Penn State's Multi-Sport Facility in University Park, Pa. Sophomore Leanne Singleton-Comfort and freshman Mackensie Nechanicky combined to score 11 points for the Falcons.
Singleton-Comfort won seven individual bouts after three rounds of competition in the women's saber competition. The sophomore is currently in 14th place.
Nechanicky won four bouts after three rounds of competition in the women's foil competition. The freshman is in 21st place.
Action continues at the 2018 NCAA Fencing Championship tomorrow with rounds four and five, followed by the semi-finals and championship bouts. A live feed of the semi-final and final bouts will be available on ESPN3 or the WatchESPN App. The semi-finals and finals, along with other championships highlights will air on ESPNU at 1 p.m. ET on April 4.
Air Force also had two men's competitors that will take to the strip on Saturday and Sunday.
