Wrestling Adds Two to NWCA All-Academic Team

MANHEIM, Penn. - Air Force added two wrestlers to the 2018 NWCA All-Academic team, marking the third and fourth Falcons to earn the honor since becoming a member of the NWCA.
Team Captain Zen Ikehara and Alec Opsal competed in 50% or more of the squad's varsity meets with a win-percentage equal to or greater than .670, while maintaining a 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher. Ikehara is a systems engineering major while Opsal is civil engineering
Awarded annually, the NWCA All-Academic team is comprised of 155 student-athletes. Five Division I champions made the team, while seven additional runners-up were included. In all, 42 All-Americans were All-Academic selections. Of the 155 individuals, 123 were at minimum NCAA Division I qualifiers, up from 115 a year ago.
