Falcon Men’s Tennis Midway Through Two Invites

Air Force men's tennis finished day two action at a pair of invites Saturday, Sept. 28. The Falcons took part in the Joe Hunt Invite in Annapolis, Md., and the Weber State invite in Ogden, Utah.
Air Force posted a 17-7 record at the Hunt Invite, as three Falcons made the finals of their respective draws.
Sophomore Paul Hendrix won a pair of matches to advance to the finals of the White Singles draw. Senior Tadgh Collins also won two matches to advance to the finals of the Orange singles draw. Junior Matt Ghering also won two to make the finals of the Purple singles draw.
After a opening day setback, sophomore Patrick Sklenka has battled his way back to the consolation finals of the Blue Singles draw with a pair of Saturday wins.
The duo of senior Isaac Perez and Collins won both of its matches in the blue doubles.
At the Weber State Invite, the Falcons went 2-6 in day two competition. Freshman Robert Baylon went 1-1 on the day, making it to the A singles semifinals.
The doubles duo of Baylon and freshman Jordan Azuma won the the second-straight day.
The Falcons wrap up day three action at both the Joe Hunt and Weber State Invitationals Sunday.
