Men's Swimming & Diving Concludes Art Adamson Invite

The Falcons had two new top-ten program times, as well as two NCAA B cuts.
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Air Force Academy men's swimming and diving team concluded action at the 2019 Art Adamson Invitational, Saturday evening, Nov. 23, on the campus of Texas A&M University. The Falcons had two new top-ten program times, as well as two NCAA B cuts.
The top finish came from senior Zach Nelson in the 200 breast, as the co-captain placed sixth with a 1:57.80, good for an NCAA B cut. The other B cut came from freshman Jaykob Williams in the 1650 freestyle, clocking in with a 10th place finish and a time of 15:26.01. The time was good for eighth-best in program history.
In the 100 freestyle, sophomore Corey Shepard continued his big weekend, as he clocked in with a 44.44 to take 12th place overall, and set the ninth-best time in program history. In the final two events, AF got a pair of top 12 finishes in both. Starting with the 200 back, freshman Gabriel Bartolomei took seventh and senior Cole McAnany placed 12th. Their finals times were just .12 seconds apart. In the 200 fly, sophomore Andrew Limpert placed eighth, while classmate Logan Davis took 10th.
In the diving event of the night, the platform, junior Jack Zocher was AF's top finisher, taking sixth. Lastly, the final event was the 400 free relay. AF took seventh overall with a season best time.
As a team, AF finished with 487 points to finish in fifth place.
