School-record 61 Falcons earn MW all-academic honors

The previous record for the Falcons was 44 in 2009-10.
Air Force placed a school-record 61 student-athletes on the 2018 Mountain West Fall Academic Team, as announced today by the conference office. The previous record for the Falcons was 44 in 2009-10.
Fall sports include men's and women's cross country, football, women's soccer and women's volleyball. A league-record 703 student-athletes earned the honor league-wide.
The Air Force football team had 19 honored, while men's cross country had 12, women's soccer 13, women's cross country 10, and women's volleyball seven.
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at a member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team. A complete list of the fall academic team is attached.
