Falcons' rifle team wins Conference Smallbore Championships

Patriot Rifle Conference
U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. – Feb. 2: The No. 4 Air Force rifle team bested No. 1 TCU in the Patriot Rifle Conference Smallbore Championships in Fairbanks, Alaska, on Saturday. The Falcons' smallbore squad finished 2333-2324 versus the TCU Frogs, to win the smallbore match. Alaska finished third with a 2311, Nevada scored 2304 points, Ohio State had a 2301, and UTEP scored a 2290.
In smallbore, the Falcons' freshman Peter Fiori was the match leader with a career high 590. Sophomore Nate Peterson finished in fourth place with a 583, while senior Spencer Cap finished sixth with a 582. Junior Logan Ogden scored a 578 for 12th place. Finishing 14th and 15th were freshman Casper Schadler and senior Anna Weilbacher, respectively, both scoring 576s.
On Sunday, the conference opponents will compete in air rifle, at the UAF E.F. Horton Rifle Range.
