
Air Force Cross Country Announces 2019 Schedule

The Falcons open the upcoming season on Friday, Aug. 30, at the Colorado Invitational in Boulder.
USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force cross country team, under the direction of sixth-year head coach Ryan Cole, recently announced its eight-meet schedule for the upcoming 2019 season earlier. The Falcons will compete in five regular-season races, as they prepare for the championship portion of the season.
Air Force opens the 2019 campaign in Boulder, Colo., on Friday, Aug. 30, when it competes against its regional foes at the CU Invitational. The Falcons then travel to Lincoln, Neb., for the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21, before making their first trip to the Bill Dellinger Invitational in Springfield, Ore., on Saturday, Sept. 28. The squad will split for the final two weeks of the regular season, as part of the team travels to Fort Hays, Kan., for the FHSU Tiger Open on Saturday, Oct. 12, and the rest head to Madison, Wis., the following Friday (Oct. 18) for the prestigious Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational.
The championship portion of the season begins in November, when Air Force makes back-to-back trips to Utah for the Mountain West Championships (Friday, Nov. 1, in Logan) and the NCAA Mountain Regional (Friday, Nov. 15, in Salt Lake City). The 2019 season comes to a close on Saturday, Nov. 23, when the top teams and individuals from the country's various regional meets travel to Terre Haute, Ind., for the 2019 NCAA Cross Country Championships.
