Air Force Men Climb to No. 26 in USTFCCCA Rankings

The Falcons, who return to action this Saturday, moved up one spot from their preseason placement.
NEW ORLEANS – The Air Force men's cross country team earned a No. 26 ranking in the latest edition of the NCAA Division I Cross Country Coaches' Poll, which was released this morning (Sept. 17) by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Falcons, who held a No. 27 spot in the preseason rankings, moved up one spot during the first USTFCCCA poll of the regular season.
On the women's side, Air Force is receiving votes in the first regular-season poll of the year. With 26 points, the Falcons are just five points out of the top 30.
The Falcons, who opened their season hosting the Air Force Open in late August, remained at No. 6 in the men's Mountain Region rankings, while the women climbed two spots to No. 3 – the highest regional ranking in program history.
The Falcons return to action this Saturday (Sept. 21), when 10 runners travel to Lincoln, Neb., for the annual Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invitational at Mahoney Golf Course.
