U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force Athletics has rolled out new and rebranded official team social media accounts with the goal of increasing brand uniformity. As of Wednesday, Sept. 25, all team accounts will now look the same throughout the department and will be easier for fans to locate and follow.
These changes were part of an effort to align social media accounts with the overall Air Force Athletics brand. Fans will notice that handles and usernames are now cleaner, easier to search and more consistent. Along with handles and usernames being changed and added, new profile pictures and cover photos are intended to help create a consistent look across all platforms.
In addition, teams that did not have a Twitter, Instagram or Facebook account before now have a dedicated team account on each social media platform. "Social media is a great way to give our fans behind-the-scenes access that they can't get anywhere else," said Alex Cramer, assistant athletic director for marketing and fan experience. "These changes will strengthen our digital brand and provide even more ways for fans to build connections with our cadet-athletes and coaches."
Fans who liked or followed the sport accounts previously have automatically been switched over to the new sport accounts.
