CADET SQUADRON 01
IN HIS OWN WORDS:
This summer I took ECE (electrical engineering) class and completed a Cadet Summer Research Program (CSRP) with the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR). Under AFOSR, I worked with Dr. Roach on Viral Inactivation by Directed Energy Radiation (VIDER) whose goal was to inactivate the SARS-CoV-2 virus through various forms of EM radiation, but focusing efforts on the microwave spectrum. My job in the VIDER team was to organize and cite all of the literature used by the team.
Following graduation, I hope to become a pilot or operations research analyst."
(During the pandemic), I have learned the importance of flexibility ... because everything related to USAFA has been changing almost daily since March.
