Cross Country Ranked in Final Fall Poll

The Falcons are the only MW program to have both teams ranked in the nation's top 30.
NEW ORLEANS – The Air Force men's and women's cross country teams remained ranked in the national standings this afternoon (Nov. 24), as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its final coaches' poll of the fall segment. The Falcons, ranked 27th in both the men's and women's standings, are the only Mountain West program to have both squads ranked among the nation's top 30.
Air Force, which has seen the men and women nationally-ranked during each of the three USTFCCCA polls this fall, is one of six conference programs to be mentioned in the final rankings of 2020. With 56 points, the men were joined in the rankings by Colorado State (No. 21, 103 points) and three teams receiving votes – Utah State (8 points), Wyoming (8 points), Boise State (6 points). On the women's side, fourth-ranked New Mexico (303 points) and No. 13 Boise State (177 points) joined Air Force (58 points) in the final fall standings.
The rescheduled cross country season is slated to begin in January 2021 and will conclude with the NCAA Championships in Stillwater, Okla., on March 15.
