
Air Force Men’s Tennis Places Four On MW All-Academic Team

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis placed four players on the Mountain West All-Academic Team for the 2020 Spring Sports, announced by the conference office. The four All-Academic honorees is the most in the Dan Oosterhous era and tied for the second-most ever for the program in the MW era.
The four all-academic honorees are the most at Air Force since the 2006 season, when a program-record six cadet-athletes earned all-academic.
Junior Jamie Bautista (3.16 - Civil Engineering) led the way with his third all-academic honor. Fellow junior Sean McKendree (3.92 - Mechanical Engineering) followed with his second all-academic honor. Senior Mack Galvin (3.20 - History: Military) and freshman Justin Waldman (3.96 - Biology) picked up their first-career academic honors.
A league-record 1,130 student-athletes have been named to the spring 2020 Academic All-Mountain West team, the Conference announced today. Spring sports include baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, softball, women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field. The previous Conference record of 1,021 spring semester honorees was set during the 2018-19 academic year.
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
