Men’s Swim and Dive Finishes Second with Strong Performance

USAF ACADEMY – The men's swim and dive team finished second in a field of four at the Rocky Mountain Invitational, besting Wyoming and Denver while coming up short against Louisiana State, Saturday afternoon at Cadet Natatorium, USAFA. The Falcons claimed first-place finishes in five events.
Air Force standout Wen Zhang was a man on fire, winning first-place in the 500 freestyle (4:38.87) and the 200 freestyle (1:37.16). He finished second behind Olympic gold medalist Brooks Curry in the 100 freestyle with a 44.35.
The Falcons also had a strong showing in the 100 butterfly as Grant Afman (49.97) and Andrew Limpert (50.18) finished first and second, respectively.
Zhang, along with Limpert, Jacob Bulseco and Corey Shepard took the top-spot in two relay races, winning the 200 freestyle relay (1:21.10) and the 400 freestyle relay (2:58.91). Shepard also saw success in the 50 freestyle, finish second behind Curry (20.74).
