Men’s Tennis Falls to Utah State, 4-2

Air Force men's tennis (8-10, 1-4 MW) fell to Utah State (12-6, 3-2 MW) 4-2 in a Mountain West dual Friday afternoon at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club in Logan, Utah.

The Falcons opened strong with a pair of doubles wins to take the point. Sean McKendree and Justin Waldman won at No. 3 over Jack Ninteman and Roko Savin 6-4. Paul Hendrix and Jamie Bautista won at No. 1 over Felipe Acosta and Javier Ruiz 6-3.

Air Force struggled in singles, going 1-4. Utah State won the first three singles matches at No. 1, 4 and 3. Hendrix fell at No. 1 to Sergiu Bucur 6-0, 6-3. Jonathan Mascagni fell at No. 4 to Roko Savin 6-3, 7-5. Waldman fell at No. 3 to Acosta 6-4, 6-3.

Robert Baylon picked up Air Force's singles win at No. 2 over Souf El Mesbahi 6-7, 6-3, 6-1. McKendree fell at No. 5 to Ruiz 6-2, 6-3.

The Falcons return to action Sunday, April 18 at Boise State.
