Men’s Tennis Defeats Omaha, 6-1

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis (7-8) defeated Omaha (10-12), 6-1, Thursday afternoon at the USAFA Outdoor Tennis Courts.

The Falcons won the doubles point and the first three singles matches to clinch the win.

Air Force opened with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles for the point. Sean McKendree and Justin Waldman won at No. 3 6-1 over Philip Olsson and Julian Kenzlers. Robert Baylon and Jordan Azuma won at No. 2 over Davis Lawley and Hugo Piles Ballester 6-4.

In singles, Nick Vroman got the first point, winning at No. 6 singles over Alvaro Quintana 6-1, 6-1. McKendree then won at No. 5 over Olsson 6-4, 6-0. Baylon clinched the match for the Falcons with a win at No. 2 over Ouattara 7-5, 6-3.

Paul Hendrix won at No. 1 over Hulme 7-6 (3), 3-6, 10-8. Jonathan Mascagni fell at No. 4 to Davis Lawley 6-2, 6-7 (3), 11-9. Justin Waldman won at No. 3 over Piles Ballester 7-5, 6-4.

Air Force returns to action tomorrow, April 9, hosting San Diego State in a Mountain West match.
