
Falcons place record 148 cadet-athletes on MW spring all-academic team

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Air Force placed a school-record 148 cadet-athletes on the spring academic all-Mountain West team, as announced today by the league office. The previous record of 87 was set in 2019-20.
Combined with the 32 cadet-athletes that earned MW academic honors in the fall, a record 180 cadet-athletes received MW academic honors during the 2020-21 academic year. The previous school record of 138 was set in 2018-19.
To be eligible for 2021 Spring Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. The athletic contribution/participation requirement has been omitted for this award this year due to the impact of COVID-19.
