Men’s Tennis Completes Play At MSU Denver Fall Invitational

Air Force men's tennis completed day two action at the MSU Denver Fall Invitational Sunday in Denver. The Falcons won seven matches on the day.

The Falcons posted six doubles wins and one singles win.

Freshman Luke Wolf earned the singles win over Steven Howe of Metro State 6-3, 7-6 in the A draw consolation semifinals. He fell in the finals to Charlie Miller of Denver 6-3, 6-0. Brian Garcia made the B consolation semifinals but fell to Moise Cure Robles of Metro State 6-3, 6-0. Daniel Wei made the C draw semifinals but bell to Fanco Veccia of Seward County 4-6, 6-4, 10-6.

In doubles Wei teamed with Kacey Walisundra of Metro State to win the B doubles back draw. After dropping their opening match, the duo swept the back draw with wins over Metro State and Colorado College.

The doubles duo of Garcia and Wolf went 2-1 in the A doubles draw, making the semifinals. The duo had a 9-8 win over Carlos Pinedo/Andy Caruana of Metro State and a 8-5 win over Martins Abam/Kyllian Savary of Seward County. They fell in the semis to Pato Garcia Murial/Daniel Krug of Denver 9-7.

Also earning a win in doubles was William Kesterson and Alex Krawietz. The duo defeated Andrew Kaelin and Lucas Pastor of Colorado College via default.

Air Force returns to action next weekend, hosting the ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains Thurs-Sat., Sept. 16-18.
