Men’s Tennis Finishes Play At Dar Walters Classic

Air Force men's tennis completed day three action at the Dar Walters Classic in Boise, Idaho, Sunday. The Falcons went 7-2 in the final day of action.

Air Force went 5-1 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles. Senior Robert Baylon, junior Jonathan Mascagni and freshman Arjun Kersten picked up with in the fourth round of consolation single play. Baylon defeated Oisin Shaffrey of Montana 6-4, 6-3. Mascagni defeated Sam Baldwin of Montana 6-4, 6-3. Kersten defeated Josh Watkins of Montana 6-1, 6-2.

Sophomore Nick Vroman and freshman Kyle Garner also earned singles wins. Vroman defeated Marcos Zelver of Montana State 6-4, 6-0 and Garner defeated Joaquin Espinoza 6-4. 7-5.

In doubles play, Mascagni and Kersten defeated Sam Baldwin and Josh Watkins of Montana 6-1. Vroman and Justin Waldman defeated Espioza and Zelver of Montana State 6-4.

Air Force returns to action next weekend, hosting the ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains Thurs-Sat., Sept. 16-18.
