Falcons Complete Day Three At ITA Mountain Regional

Air Force men's tennis completed day three competition Thursday at the ITA Div. I Men's Mountain Regional Championships at the outdoor tennis courts in Provo, Utah. Highlighting the day was freshman Arjun Kersten advancing in singles action.

Kersten won a pair of singles matches to advance to the semifinals in the consolation draw. Kersten won in the round of 16 over Daan Van Dijk of Montana State 6-2, 6-3. He then won in the quarterfinals over Martin Simecek of New Mexico State 6-3, 6-2.

Senior Robert Baylon's run through the main singles draw ended with his loss in the quarterfinals. Baylon rallied back to win his round of 16 match over Matt Summers of Denver 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. He then fell to Francisco Bastias of Utah 6-3, 6-2 in the quarters.

The Falcons also had three additional singles matches. Freshman Kyle Garner defeated Otto Schreiner of BYU 7-5, 6-2. Junior Justin Waldman fell to Alexander Maggs of New Mexico 6-2, 6-1. Freshman Luke Wolf fell to Arda Azkara of New Mexico 6-2, 6-2.

Air Force returns to action in day four tomorrow.
