Air Force Earns 9-5 WWPA Win at Concordia

Air Force men's water polo (21-8, 2-3 WWPA) fell at Concordia (4-19, 1-4 WWPA) 9-5 in a WWPA game Saturday night at Beckman High School in Irvine, Calif.
The win gave the Falcons its 21st win of the season, its second-most in program history and the most since winning 21 in 1999.
The Falcons jumped ahead 5-1 after the first quarter of play and went up 7-2 at halftime. The defense continued to play well, holding Concordia to three goals in the second half.
Senior AJ Kuypers had 14 saves in goal for the win. Air Force got two goals each from Grant Snyder, Ian Christie and Jackson Carter. Jacob Yi added two assists.
Air Force returns to action tomorrow, Oct. 23, against #8 UC Irvine. The game begins at 1 pm PT at Anteater Aquatics Complex.
