Six Falcons earn ACWPC All-Academic Honors

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Six Air Force water players were named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-Academic Team for their excellence in and out of the water.

Three Falcons, freshman goalie Liam Markus, sophomore goalie Luke Hughes and freshman goalie Joe Sabo all earned outstanding recognition. Senior goalie Anthony Tolbert and freshman utility David Brown earned superior distinction while junior utility Larsen McCarroll earned excellent honors.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member of the ACWPC, while the athlete must attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Divided into three teams based on cumulative grade point average (GPA), 179 athletes garnered Outstanding (4.00-3.71), 195 Superior (3.70-3.41) and 130 Excellent (3.40-3.20) recognition from 46 teams.

The Falcons will travel to West Point for their annual spring tournament, March 4-6. Air Force will play Army on Sunday, March 6.
