Air Force With 6-1 Win Over Oral Roberts

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis downed Oral Roberts 6-1 in non-conference action Thursday afternoon at the USAFA Outdoor Tennis Courts. The win lifted the Falcons to 12-5 on the season. The 12 wins are tied for the second-most in the 13 years of the Dan Oosterhous era at Air Force.

Air Force opened by taking the doubles point. Jonathan Mascagni and Arjun Kersten won at No. 2 over Leuenberger/Johnson 6-3. Robert Baylon and Jordan Azuma then won at No. 1 over Monferrer/Vinas 6-2 to clinch the point.

In singles, Baylon won at No. 1 over Ezequiel Monferrer in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. Nick Vroman then won at No 3. over Jonathan Evans in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. Mascagni then won at No. 2 over Ignacio Vinas in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 for the match point.

Justin Waldman put up the fifth point for the Falcons with a win at No. 5 over Aaron Brewer in straight sets 6-0, 6-3. The Falcons picked up the sixth point from Kersten at No. 4 in his 7-6, 6-3 win over Aaron Brewer.

Air Force returns to action Saturday, April 2, with a conference match at New Mexico.
