
Four Falcons named to Austin Regional All-Tournament Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- Following the conclusion of Air Force's appearance in the Austin Regional, Trayden Tamiya, Jake Greiving, Gabriel Garcia, and Doyle Gehring were named to the All-Tournament Team as voted by the attending media.
In four games, Tamiya was one of the more potent bats in the Regional round, going 7-15 at the plate with 3 2B's and 3 RBI. Tamiya was crucial to the Falcons advancing to the Regional Final against Texas, as his 4-5 day at the plate in Sunday's elimination game included two doubles an RBI and a run scored.
Greiving recorded five hits in 17 at-bats over the weekend, including a two-homer game in Sunday's elimination game against Louisiana Tech. He also drove in four runs in four games.
Garcia was 6-17 in his four games at Disch-Falk Field, producing a home run, a double, 3 RBI.
Gehring was outstanding in his lone appearance of the weekend, allowing just three hits over seven shutout innings in Saturday's elimination game versus Dallas Baptist. The sophomore recorded seven strikeouts, while having retired 10-consecutive batters between the 3rd and 6th innings.
