(RV) Air Force Drops 15-14 Contest at #16 Cal Baptist

(RV) Air Force men's water polo (17-14 overall, 1-4 WCC) dropped a 15-14 contest at #16 Cal Baptist (16-15, 2-1 WCC) Sunday in West Coast Conference action at Lancer Aquatic Center in Riverside, Calif.
The game was a see-saw battle that saw several lead changes. Cal Baptist led 4-2 after the first quarter. Air Force had a big second quarter, out-scoring the Lancers 6-2 to take a 8-6 lead at halftime.
Cal Baptist turned the tables on Air Force in the third with a 6-2 goals advantage go back up 12-10. The Lancers went ahead by three goals in the fourth and the Falcons then scored two late goals to pull to within one. The tying goal never materialized for Air Force as the Lancers were able to run out the clock to end the game.
Senior Ian Christie led the Falcons with five points on a hat trick and two assists. Freshman Tom Leggett added four points on a hat trick and one assist. Junior Kaito Ham was the third Falcon to register a hat trick. Sophomore Colin Chase and freshman Jack Richards chipped- in with two goals each.
Junior Liam Markus had 11 saves in goal.
Air Force closes out the regular season next week with a WCC game against Santa Clara on Friday, Nov. 10.
