
Falcons conclude MW Championships with three All-Conference qualifiers

HOUSTON, Texas- Air Force finalized the 2023 Mountain West Championships with an exclamation, as the Falcons saw three swimmers qualify for All-Conference honors.Even more, Air Force now has seven new placements within the program's record book.
Kai-Min Tsuei maintained her weekend success after finishing fifth-overall in the 200 Back. The freshman's time of 1:58.13 not only awarded her All-Conference honors, but her finals swim on Saturday becomes the second-best swim in the event in Falcons history.
Katie Andrist, another freshman, nabbed her second All-Conference qualification in the 1650 Free, posting the third-best time in Falcons history after touching out at 16:37.14.
Abby Turner became an All-Conference swimmer after a doing enough in the preliminary round for placement into the championship round. The sophomore placed sixth after ending the race to a time of 50.32. Turner's preliminary swim time of 50.16 becomes the third-fastest time in the event in Air Force history.
As well as the All-Conference swimmers, numerous other Falcons established new program records. The list is as follows:

Shayla Markle
200 Fly: 2:02.18 (5th in program history)
Corbyn Cormack
200 Breaststroke: 2:17.65 (8th in program history)
Lauren Arnold
1650 Free: 17:01.93 (8th in program history)
Kara Gavin
100 Free: 51.04 (9th in program history)
