MINNEAPOLIS- Wen Zhang finalized his time at the 2023 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday, as the senior raced in the 100 Freestyle preliminary trials this morning.
Zhang swam to a time of 43.17 and was unable to advance to a second swim. Saturday represents the final race in Zhang's storied Air Force career.
The reigning two-time Western Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year departs the Academy as a two-time All-American owning six program records. An Olympic Trials Wave 1 finalist in 2021, Zhang still has the capacity to compete, as he has the 2024 Olympic Trials still looming a year from now.
