On Tuesday, the Air Force men's swimming and diving programs announced its slate of 2023-24 opponents, a schedule that will see the Falcons afforded the chance to compete against a variety of high-quality foes.
The Falcons will open the preseason with annually-scheduled events such as the Horsetooth Open Water Swim on September 10 as well as the Blue-Silver Intersquad meet on September 22. Air Force's first taste of regular season swimming will take place in Grand Junction when the Falcons travel to Colorado Mesa for the Intermountain Shootout. The two-day meet runs from September 29-30.
Following the Intermountain Shootout, Air Force will host a string of meets, including dates against Denver (Oct. 20), Wyoming (Oct. 21), and Grand Canyon (Nov. 3). Eventually, the Falcons will make their way to College Station for entry once again in the Art Adamson Invitational. The yearly event is scheduled to run from November 15-17.
Meanwhile, the divers will travel westward to Los Angeles to take part in the Trojan Diving Invitational at USC. The event will take place November 17-19. In its final appearance before the New Year, Air Force will compete against Cal Poly in San Diego before the Christmas break on December 19.
The start of 2024 grants the Falcons the chance to compete at home once again, as Air Force hosts Colorado School of Mines on January 13. The succeeding week will see the Falcons travel to Provo, Utah for a matchup with BYU as well as Colorado Mesa, a two-day meet running from January 19-20. The Falcons will then battle Seattle at Cadet Natatorium in a WAC dual scheduled for January 26.
After the conclusion of the Colorado Sprint Championships in Denver (January 27), the Air Force Diving Invitational will represent the final home event for Air Force. The annual diving invitational will take place February 1-3.
Air Force will compete at the Denver First Chance Invitational on February 9-10 to close out the regular season before the WAC Championships begin February 28. The remainder of postseason competition includes the NCAA Division I Zone E Diving Qualifiers (March 11-13) and the NCAA Championships (March 27-30).
