COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After recording an NCAA-leading clearance in the high jump during her collegiate debut last weekend, Air Force freshman Morgan Glaser (La Vista, Neb.) was named the Mountain West Women's Field Athlete of the Week and shared the league's Freshman of the Week award, the conference office announced today (Dec. 10).
Glaser had a stellar opening weekend at the Wyoming Power Meet on Dec. 7, as she won the high jump with a clearance of 1.81 meters (5'11¼"). That height, the second-best mark in Air Force Indoor history, currently leads the NCAA. Bettering the field by nearly seven inches, Glaser also broke the Air Force Freshman Class Record that All-American Shelley Spires had held since 2015. After opening her collegiate career with three-straight first-attempt clearances, Glaser also recorded her NCAA-leading clearance on her first attempt at that height.
