2/1/2024 12:39:00 PM | Cross Country
NEW ORLEANS – Air Force sophomore Max Sannes, as well as the women's cross country team, earned All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association this afternoon (Feb. 1), as the USTFCCCA honored athletes from around the country for their work in the classroom and on the cross country course last fall.
It is the first All-Academic selection for Sannes, a civil engineering major with a 3.68 GPA, who became the 11th Falcon in program history to garner individual USTFCCCA academic honors at the Division I level. The women, who completed the 2023 season with a combined 3.02 GPA under the association's formula, captured All-Academic Team honors for the fifth time in six years – and the 12th time since 2001.
To receive individual academic citations from the USTFCCCA, athletes must meet the association's GPA minimum and place within the top-25 of their respective regional championship.
