Rifle, Women’s tennis earn 1000
Air Force had 12 programs earn 990 or better and two earn a perfect score of 1,000 in the latest NCAA four-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores, which are based on data for the 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 academic years.
The rifle and women's tennis programs each earned a perfect score of 1,000. The baseball (996), football (992), hockey (993), lacrosse (999), men's soccer (996), men's track (992), men's swimming (992), women's gymnastics (993) women's swimming (995) and volleyball (990) programs all received scores of 990 or better.
Each academic year, every Division I sports team calculates its APR using a simple and consistent formula. Each term, scholarship student-athletes can earn 1 point for remaining academically eligible and 1 point for staying at USAFA or graduating at the end of the academic term. For schools that do not offer athletic scholarships, recruited student-athletes (that are on the varsity roster) are tracked.
