Patrick Hoopes To Compete at World University Games

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Recent Air Force graduate Patrick Hoopes was named to the team that will represent Team USA at the FISU World University Games next month (July 16-27) in Essen, Germany.
Hoopes, a two-time World Cup medalist and back-to-back NCAA champion on the pommel horse for Air Force, will be joined in Germany by Illinois' Tate Costa, Nebraska's Alex Nitache, and the Stanford duo of Kai Uemura and Colt Walker.
The World University Games will feature 18 spots in six cities over 12 days. Artistic gymnastics will take place at Messe Essen Halle 3 in Essen and begin with the men's team finals and individual qualification on July 22-23.
