Air Force Track & Field, Cross Country Announces Class of 2029

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – As the cadets at the Air Force Academy complete their first full week or class, the track & field and cross country program would like to introduce the newest members of its team. Thirty-four athletes from the Class of 2029 will join the Falcons' program for the upcoming season.

"We're very excited to have the Class of 2029 join our track & field and cross country program," Ryan Cole, Air Force's director of track & field and cross country, said. "A few aspects that really stand out are the balance across event areas and the performance level of the newcomers. Not only can this group make an immediate impact during the upcoming season, for both men and women, but they'll have roles that allow us to continue emphasizing being a balanced track & field program. That's something we'll continue to build upon and this class is a key part of that process."

The Falcons also added a pair of sophomore throwers – Trenton Groff [St. Louis, Mo., Eureka HS] and Mason Hayes [Normandy Park, Wash., Kennedy Catholic HS] – to their lineup for the upcoming season.

The cross country team will open the 2025 season on Friday, Aug. 29, when they host the AFXC Classic at Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs, while the track and field season will get underway in December (the full schedule will be announced at a later date).
