10/3/2026 3:42:00 PM | Women's Swimming and Diving
FORT COLLINS, Colo., - Air Force women's swimming and diving captured the Front Range Invitational title, posting a two-day total of 949 points to finish ahead of Wyoming (765), Colorado State (645), Northern Colorado (614) and Denver (574). The Falcons tallied 17 top-five swimming finishes and 11 top-five diving placements throughout the weekend.
"It was a great weekend to start racing," said head swimming coach Colleen Murphy. "Our team battled in every event and our freshmen had a great introduction to collegiate swimming."
Lily Larson picked up her first win of the season in the 200 free, touching the wall in 1:50.62.
"She started her junior year with a win in the 200 free!" Murphy said. "She is such a competitor and we are excited to watch her this season."
Back at Cadet Natatorium, freshman diver Helena Gibson earned her second collegiate victory, scoring 264.30 on the 1-meter. Lexi Gregory followed in second with 254.40, while Lulu Semakula placed third with 245.40.
On the platform, Jazzlyn Vaughan captured her first career event win with a score of 258.90. Gregory added another runner-up finish with a 226.85.
In the pool, Ryan Mills, Libbi McCarthy, Hannah Seal and Larson combined for a 3:27.47 to place second in the 400 free relay.
The 200 medley relay team of Eliza Black, Naomi Furman, Amber Martin and McCarthy earned bronze with a 1:43.92.
Furman added a fourth-place finish in the 100 breast after posting a 1:04.47, while freshman Ellie Foulke finished fourth in the 400 IM at 4:34.35.
Mills clocked a 56.94 for fifth in the 100 fly, while Black finished fifth in the 100 back with a 57.91. Distance swimmer Abby Miller rounded out the Falcons' top-five finishes with an 18:01.69 in the 1650 free.
"Getting the first meet jitters out of the way was important so we could focus on improving the little things in every race," Murphy said.
The Falcons return to action for their first dual meet of the season against Wyoming on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. MT in Laramie, Wyo.
