Falcons shoot season-high air rifle at NCAA Qualifier

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force rifle team shot a season-high score of 2380 in air rifle at an NCAA Qualifier against TCU, Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Cadet Rifle Range. It was the final regular-season match of the season for the Falcons.
Air Force's air rifle score was paced by freshman Lily Miller's career-best 597. Sophomore Lily Wytko shot a 596, junior Megan Torrence shot a 595 and senior Victoria Leppert shot a 592. Sophomore Bethany Butler and freshman Prisha Thomas each shot a 591. Miller placed fifth in air rifle and Wytko was sixth.
In smallbore, Miller led the Falcons with a 582, followed by Thomas (581), William Steen (579), Butler (576), Leppert and Torrence (574).
In aggregate, Miller was sixth overall with an 1179. Thomas was ninth (1172) and Torrence was 10th (1169).
TCU, ranked third in nation, defeated 13th-ranked Air Force, 4741-4693.
