
Air Force Men Finish 16th At 2026 NCAA Fencing Championships; Griffith Earns All-American Honorable Mention In Men’s Foil

Air Force men's fencing placed 16th in team competition at the 2026 NCAA Fencing Championships on Sunday, March 22, at the Castellan Family Fencing Facility and Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center on the campus of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. Senior Jack Griffith led the Falcons by finishing 11th in men's foil to earn All-American Honorable Mention honors.
The Falcons tallied 27 points, which was the most by an MPSF men's program at the NCAAs.
Griffith, who sat outside of the top 12 headed into the final two rounds Sunday, rallied to finish 11th with 12 wins total. With his top-12 finish, he earned his second-career AA honorable mention honor.
Freshmen Richard Li and Andrei Nazymov both finished 20th in their respective weapons. Li placed 20th in mens' foil with eight wins. Nazlymov placed 20th in men's saber with seven wins.
Host Notre Dame captured the title with 91 points.
The Air Force women completed competition Friday, finishing 19th with 11 points.
