Air Force Fencing Lands Four On CSC Academic All-District Team

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force fencing had four cadet-athletes earn 2026 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.
Recent graduates William Barber and Mira Vestel and sophomores Keira Lonadier and Priscilla Yao earned CSC Academic All-District honors. It was the third-career CSC recognition in as many eligible seasons for Vestel and the second for Barber.
Barber competed in the men's saber weapon, recording 27 wins on the season. Barber was a three-time MPSF All-Academic honoree and All-MPSF in men's saber as a junior.
Vestel competed in women's saber, leading the team with 50 wins as a senior. Vestel was a four-time MPSF All-Academic honoree and three time All-MPSF in women's saber. She also qualified for the NCAA's in 2023.
Lonadier competed in women's epee, racking up 34 wins. She earned Academic All-MPSF honors and also earned MPSF Fencer of the Week on Feb. 9.
Yao competed in women's saber, earning 27 wins. She earned MSPF All-Academic and placed 11th in women's saber at the NCAA West Regionals.
To be considered for CSC All-Academic, the student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. They must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. The athletes must also meet a competition/games played threshold for eligibility, specific to each sport.
