Air Force places 79 on Mountain West spring all-academic team

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force placed 79 cadet-athletes on the spring academic all-Mountain West team, as announced today by the league office. The 79 selections is the seventh most on the spring academic team in school history.
Mountain West spring sports include baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, softball, women's gymnastics, women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field.
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and must have competed in 50 percent of the team's completed varsity contests (or 25 percent in the case of baseball/softball pitchers).
