Air Force Sports Camps presented by CommonSpirit are set to return to the U.S. Air Force Academy starting Monday, June 8, marking the program's 46th year of providing elite athletic instruction and leadership development for youth athletes. The nationally recognized program continues to be one of the largest multi-sport camp offerings in the country, welcoming athletes ages 8–18 from across the United States and abroad.
Each summer, AF Sports Camps offers more than 16 sport-specific camps, along with select elite weekend camp opportunities designed for advanced athletes seeking high-level instruction and competition. In 2026, the program is expected to host more than 3,000 campers across three summer camp sessions held on the grounds of the United States Air Force Academy.
The 2026 camp sessions are scheduled throughout June and will include:
Led by Air Force head coaches and their coaching staffs, along with a select group of nationally recognized guest coaches, the camps provide a unique opportunity for young athletes to train in a structured, high-performance environment modeled after collegiate and service academy standards. Instruction emphasizes skill development, competition, discipline, and teamwork.
A critical component of the AF Sports Camps experience is the Cadet Cadre program. Each summer, a dedicated team of approximately 80 Air Force Academy cadets plays a vital role in daily operations, camper mentorship, leadership development, and supporting overnight dormitory life. Cadets serve as role models throughout the camp experience, reinforcing the Academy's core values of integrity, service, and excellence.
AF Sports Camps is also proud to continue its partnership with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and its TrueSport program, now entering its tenth year as a valued collaboration. Through TrueSport, campers receive education in sportsmanship, ethical decision-making, and character development, helping young athletes understand what it means to compete with integrity both on and off the field.
As the program enters its 46th year, AF Sports Camps remains committed to delivering a premier athletic and leadership experience that reflects the mission and values of the United States Air Force Academy while inspiring the next generation of competitors and leaders.
