USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis finished day two play at the 2026 ITA Bedford Cup In The Mountains this Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Air Force Outdoor Intercollegiate Tennis Courts. Air Force picked up 21 wins on the day.
Playing the Dominant Duo format, the pairing of junior Langdon Tingleaf and freshman Muyang Yi advanced to the finals in the main draw by winning in the quarters and semifinals of action.
Tingleaf and Yi opened quarters with a sweep of Nikhil Srivatsa/Juan Jose Neira Rodriguez of New Mexico. The pair won doubles 6-4 and both won singles in straight sets. In the semi's the pair again swept all three matches against Roman Glarner/Samuel Rade of Denver, taking the doubles and winning both singles in straigh sets.
Air Force also has a pair playing in the consolation draw finals as junior Matthew Staton and freshman Caleb Chow advanced with wins int the quarters and semi's. The pair won its doubles match over Kale Mize/Santiago Pinna of New Mexico State. A singles win by Chow over Pinna (inury, retired) advanced the pair to the semi's. After a win in doubles over Darrshan Suresh Kumar/Joseph Townes of Montana, it was Chow's singles win over Townes that avanced the pair to the finals.
Day three action resumes tomorrow, Sunday, beginning at 9 am with the final round of play.
