2017-18 (Freshman): Led men’s team with 61-34 record ... team MVP ... went undefeated 11 times ... Champion of senior men’s saber at Nick Toth Open ... placed second at NCAA West Regional ... finished 21st at NCAA’s, posting six wins.
Before Air Force:
2016-17: Attended the USAFA Prep School and competed in fencing.
High School: High School fencing coach was Mike Kim.
Personal: Member of cadet squadron 30...son of Stephan and DeAnna Goode...has two brothers...brother, Samuel, is a senior at Naval Academy...intends to major in management...future career plan is to become a JAG officer...Why I decided to come to the Academy: "I want to constantly push myself to be the best that I can be. Therefore, the Air Force Academy was the perfect place for me to grow not only as an athlete but also as an individual." ...began fencing at age eight...credits coach Mike Kim, Aldo Montano and Conor McGregor as having the biggest influences on his athletics career...pre-competition superstition is wearing a Nordic ring that means "Warrior"...dream vacation spot is Dublin, Ireland...guilty pleasure is Nutella...favorite role model is Conor McGregor...something most people don't know about him is that he owned his own tea business in high school...most notable thing about his hometown is that its home of the worlds biggest flea market...enjoys listening to Ed Sheeren...favorite TV show is A Game of Thrones...favorite movie is The Lord of the Rings...favorite class subject is History...enjoys anything Irish.
